When there is no hope?

Is there someone
Who can punish the wrong,
Reward the righteous,
To set the scales of justice?

Is there someone
Who can help bring a smile
On the faces of many
Worn by worry?

Is there someone
To look up to,
To show the way,
To lead to safety?

Is there a God
Who is all of the above
And much more
Than we can ever imagine?

Don’t know about “there”,
But “here” is a God,
Who shines through mere mortals
Through every act of kindness.
