I stand at nothing.
With no progress
In any direction.
Still, I hope.
There is nothing
That I can guarantee about
To myself and someone else.
Still, I hope.
Nothing is what
I will fall to,
If my dreams crash.
Still, I hope.
Everyone around has something
If not seemingly everything,
Whereas I have nothing.
Still, I hope.
For who knows
What will happen?
If everything finally does turn out?
Or nothing becomes everything?
Yes, right now,
I have nothing.
I will not lie.
Nothing but hope.
Hope is enough xoxo

Well, that’s truly amazing. For those were the words I was telling myself. I’m really humbled that they touched someone else too. 🙂

Actually, you don’t have one thing, Mia, but two – hope and will. The will to turn hope to reality.
There’s also the Magic you work with the Verse. That’s three.
Oh, there’s your imagination too, and your dreams. OK, now we’re up to four…and five.
Take another inventory. Congratulations! You’ve set yourself among the “everyone around” who has something. Oh, much more than just “something” for sure.

Keith, that’s so sweet of you! Really, I feel so humbled. 😊 Thank you so much for sparing your time and effort for making me feel blessed. Only a really kind person can do that! 🤗

Thank you, Mia!
As for taking the time, if it’s insufficient to express appreciation, what’s the whole point?
Just keep writing – poetry, prose, whatever. By the way, yours is one of the first places I visit, even before seeing what emails lurk. May the “ink” be torrential!.
Absolutely no pressure there, right?

I’m just so, so, so happy to know that you visit my posts so religiously! 😀😀😀
No pressure at all, my friend! I write because I love to. It is the one thing which will never be an obligation but a complete pleasure. It relaxes me like nothing else. 😊

Even with no other reason, hope is enough to get you out of bed. The question is, hope for what? Something tangible and accessible or if just tangible hope it becomes accessible, or for some magical conclusion or supernatural effect? Too many go this way, and too many are out there to profit off them. What I want or hope for is just tangible, so I’m working to make it accessible.
Again, thank you for liking my poems!

I agree with your viewpoint. Hope really is the reason we get out to do anything. Also, being practical never hurts.
I genuinely like how you write, hence the likes for your poems. You are welcome again. ☺
