Today’s Tiny Tale: Won or Lost

We won everything we ever wanted.

We won somethings we didn’t even dream of.

But we lost each other.

  1. Glad to read this doesn’t reflect personal experience, Mia. Still, you’re perceptive and eloquent enough to give the thoughts meaning. They stir the soul.

You’re warning against awarding too much emphasis to things, while forgetting the most important part of our lives, the people. Things come and go, and as such, they’re disposable. Indeed, most of us end up going through several big things (houses, cars, educations, etc.) in our years here.

The people, particularly the “significant” ones, aren’t so plentiful. You may have your “once in a lifetime” here and now; don’t let him/her lose out to something you’ll replace anyway in a few years!

    1. Firstly, thank you so much for commenting with such kindness, Keith. 🙂

Secondly, wow! You not only got my point right on but also gave it such an important dimension. Yes, there will always be a much greater chance of getting another thing compared to another person. We MUST cherish those people, before it gets too late.
