For every heartbreak I suffered,
For every text that went ignored,
For every call that went unpicked.
Because had that not been,
It would never have brought me to you.

For every stroke of bad luck,
For every rainy day suffered,
For every obstacle encountered.

I’m grateful
For every opportunity missed,
For every time left undelivered,
For every dark secret revealed.
Because had that not been,

I’m grateful
For whatever I did not have,
For whatever I did not want,
For whatever never happened.
Because had that not been,
It would never have brought me to you.

I’m grateful.
I wish to stay grateful
Today and forever,
For every single thing in my life.
Because had that not been,
