When the makeup comes off,
What do I see?
What I like
Or everything that worries me?
That bright stain of colour
On my lips
When wiped off
Exposing the natural tint.
That blush of liveliness
On my cheeks
When washed away
Exposing the real skin.
That dash of deep kohl
On my eyes
When removed
Exposing true simplicity.
Frankly, when the makeup comes off,
I see the real I,
And I like her,
In spite of everything that worries me.
Because I live with her,
Instead of focusing on faults,
I choose to appreciate her
And she glows back at me.
Go for the natural beauty bro, no makeup needed π

I like that we get to choose. On or off it doesnβt matter, all who we feel in the moment

Exactly! “What we feel in the moment” is the crux!

Good!!
I, on the other hand, do need some make up to cover all the wrinkles haha. Or plastic surgery π
Youβre welcome βΊοΈ

Nothing wrong at all with makeup, especially when it gives us a confidence boost!
As for your wrinkles, think of them as badges of honour time has been kind to give you. Youβre lucky to have made it so far & I hope you go on to get many, many more! π€

True. I do believe itβs mostly meant to accentuate or highlight oneβs features and not alter oneβs face to the point one becomes unrecognisable π
Exactly! I shall wrinkle on and hope I age well βΊοΈπ€

Desires confuse and detract us from our original nature, leading to the devaluation of the self. Β

Well said well written. Whatever else about me, I am still me and have to appreciate myself since I’m the only self I have.
