Fallen off,
Fallen out with,
Fallen into or
Completely missed?

Whether they were
In small things,
In the big important ones,
In front of the same people again,
In a never-ending cycle?
Yeah, there’ve been others before you.
The next time,
Take heart,
Chin up,
Back straight,
Head easy,
As you’re seriously not the first one.
The earth is dotted
With interesting individuals
A lot like you,
With whom,
You may share a sense of community,
Feeling you are not the only one.
You are the salt,
The magic ingredient,
The taste-maker,
The story-churner.
But don’t be flattered.
You’re not in this alone.
