What do you do
When you know
That the sky is going to fall?
On you and
On everything you love?

Do you stand back
To let it just happen?
Do you start to fight
With all your tiny might?
Knowing the outcome either way?

Yes, sometimes
It’s just all
So out of control,
So chaotic,
So frustrating.

Knowing that,
Close your eyes.
Take a deep breath.
Relax for a second.
And just believe.

If this is how
It is to be,
Then let it be.
But in spite of the mess,
You will be okay.

This is not the ending
Of your story
Or you.
This is just a chapter
That too will pass.

When it is so out of control
That everything spins,
Spin with it.
Instead of fighting,
Embrace it.

For when you believe,
You will survive,
You will thrive,
You will emerge victorious eventually,
If not just now.
