Happy Birthday, Baby Girl

My birthday gift
To myself
Is this poem.

It is a wish
Of love,
Of happiness.

It is a promise
Of steadfast support
Through thick and thin.

It is a token
That will endure
Many years hence.

It is I
Telling myself,
“Happy birthday, baby girl.”

  1. Today, we celebrate your radiant grace,
A beauty crowned by smiles so warm and true.
The Kingโ€™s Queen stands, adorned in timeโ€™s embrace,
With strength and kindness shining boldly through.

Forgive yourself for stumbles on the way,
For every scar has made your spirit strong.
Each trial yields the dawn of brighter days,
A melody of hope, your lifeโ€™s own song.

May Christmas miracles, both small and grand,
Fill every moment, blessing you with cheer.
And may your smile, a light for all, still stand,
To make the world more beautiful each year.

    Happy Birthday to you Mia!
    Hubert

    1. Thank you so much for your wish & sharing this beautiful poem, Hubert! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿค—

P.S. I know I can be a spoilsport for asking this. I can spot quite a few of my post titles & themes in this poem. But still, I’m going to ask this. Did you write this just now? ๐Ÿ˜ณ Or is it from your treasure of lovely poems? ๐Ÿ™ƒ

      1. Happily Mia!
I wrote this poem right now, but it had also lingered for a time in my head – along with many others – building up slowly, as I had been reading through your articles. But now it finally popped up into existence, as I’ve learned of your birthday ๐Ÿ™‚

      2. Hubert, thank you for being sweet enough to oblige me with the story behind the poem. I gifted myself a poem. You gifted me another. And critically speaking, yours is even better than mine. Much, much appreciated! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป
