Who am I to Judge You?

Who am I to judge you?
What you have done
Or not done?
What you have said
Or not said?

Do I know you that well?
Everything you went through
And survived?
Everything you never saw coming
And yet battled?

What even if I knew you too well?
All your scars
From top to bottom?
All your pains
From visible to invisible?

Still, it won’t be enough.
I could somewhere go wrong
Adding two and two.
I could easily mistake
Adding for understanding.

So I refrain.
After all this time,
Who won’t want the same?
After all,
Who am I to judge you?

  1. Your verses invite us to empathy, respect and understanding rather than judgment, suggesting that, despite our perceptions, there are always aspects of others that escape us. Have a nice evening. ✨🤗👏

  2. Your meaningful verses expressing that we should respect other people rather than judge them is excellent advice. If only our world leaders followed this edict.

I think we are both on the same wavelength and we could help ourselves – as well as fellow authors and readers – if we followed each other on WordPress and spread the word. Hope you agree.
