Plans

I used to plan
Anything and everything,
Till I realized
Plans don’t always work.
Life works.

Now I am behind on
So many life goals
That the younger me
Had meticulously planned.
Life happened.

Yet, even today,
I wish, hope and believe.
I even prepare myself.
Call it planning, if you will.
Life for me is optimistic.

      1. Believe it or not, it will also make you smile. At least that’s what I have tried to do. πŸ™‚ The aim has been to make people want to live their life to the fullest. You will see it when you read it.
Thanks again for supporting me on this blog for years now. 😊

    1. Oooof, nice!

Burns’ “best laid plans of mice and men…” comes to mind.

And also Seneca’s “chance makes a plaything of man’s life

  1. It is a short but very profound poem that celebrates flexibility, faith and the human capacity to reinvent oneself. It encourages us to let go of rigid control and to keep walking with hope, even if the road changes.

    Kind regards.

  2. Beautiful poem! 🌟 It shows how plans often fall apart, but life always finds its way. Optimism is the way to go, even when things don’t go as planned. πŸ™
