Today’s Tiny Tale: Hurting Herself

They hurt her once.

She refused to forget or forgive.

She hurt herself one too many times.

    1. That’s the hope! And also a very sweet one at that! 🌸
In between, like all my written pieces, this too is a work of fiction.
Also, thank you so much, Zfthrimej for stopping by to share your wonderful words here. 😊

  1. Mia, I am very impressed with how you are in this excellent haiku addressed the complex relationship between external pain and internal suffering. It raises questions about forgiveness, self-esteem, and the challenges of letting go. You’re addressing emotions here that range from grief and anger to a deep sense of loneliness and despair. The poem invited me to reflect on the effects of injuries – both external and internal – and the importance of finding ways to heal.

    Thank you for your words.

    1. I’m very happy to receive this heartfelt response of appreciation from you about my short story, Rosie! Thank you so much! 🙂
Yes, healing is the key here and allowing oneself to heal at that. It is a time – taking process but where there is a will, there is a way.

The pleasure is all mine. 🤗
